Xinhua, June 10, 2015 Adjust font size:

A Palestinian was killed early on Wednesday during clashes with Israeli army which raided Jenin Refugee camp in northern West Bank, medics and witnesses said.

Eyewitnesses said that an Israeli army force, backed by armored vehicles, stormed early morning the refugee camp to arrest Palestinian activists amid intensive gunfire.

They said that clashes broke out between dozens of young men and Israeli soldiers. The young men threw stones, according to the witnesses, adding that the soldiers opened fire to disperse them and killed one of them.

Medical sources at Jenin Hospital said that Izedin Bani Ghura, in his early 30s, was shot in the chest and died on the way to a hospital. The sources said that the soldiers had shot him directly with three gunshots.

In Gaza, security sources said that Israeli bulldozers backed by armored vehicles stormed eastern area of al-Garara village east of the southern Gaza Strip amid intensive shooting.

Three bulldozers and seven armored vehicles rolled into the area and began to bulldoze farms while a reconnaissance drone hovered over the area, according to the sources. No injuries were reported.

Bulldozing the area is usually carried out by the Israeli army to clean up the area from intensive trees that disable soldiers stationed on borders with the Gaza Strip to see militants trying to reach the borders or dig tunnels used for attacking Israel. Endit
