Top political advisor to attend cross-Strait forum

Top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng will take part in the week-long 7th Strait Forum, which will kick off on June 14 in the coastal city of Xiamen in southeast China's Fujian Province, a spokesman from the Chinese mainland said Wednesday.

Yu is chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.

Hau Lung-pin, vice chairman of the Taiwan-based Kuomintang (KMT) party, will also attend the event, said Ma Xiaoguang, spokesman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, at a regular press conference. Endi
