Top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng met with Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos in Beijing on Tuesday.

Calling the two countries reliable friends that had always treated each other equally, Yu said both sides understood and supported one another's core interests. Yu is chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

China lauded Angola's stability, harmony, and rapid economic and social development under the leadership of President dos Santos and the People's Liberation Movement of Angola, said Yu.

Considering China-Angola ties as a successful example of China-Africa win-win cooperation and common development, Yu said the CPPCC hoped to boost exchanges with Angola, and share China's experience in reform, opening-up and economic development.

Dos Santos hailed the profound friendship between both countries, adding that Angola appreciated China's support, and hoped to boost reciprocal cooperation with China and enhance parliamentary exchanges.

The Angola president is on a state visit to China from June 8 to 13 at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. Endi
