Thai PM to visit Singapore

Xinhua, June 8, 2015 Adjust font size:

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o- cha is scheduled to pay an official visit to Singapore from June 11 to 12, a government statement said Monday.

During his visit, Prayut will meet with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong as well as other important figures, according to the statement.

Since the 28th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) will still be ongoing when the Thai premier visits Singapore, Prayut also plans to visit the Thai athletes and staff to show his support, the statement quoted deputy government spokesperson Maj Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd as saying.

Prayut has been following the news on SEA Games, and praised Thai athletes for their excellent performances, Sansern said.

"The prime minister thanked all athletes for bringing pride to the country, and would like fellow Thai people to also send moral support to the staff coach teams who are behind the success of all the athletes," the statement said. Endi
