Immigration to EU must have some limits: security expert

The European Union should thoroughly consider its immigration policy in terms of security, Czech security consultant and former general Andor Sandor has said on discussion on TABLET.TV.
The security consultant made the comments in light of the quotas brought forward by the European Commission to relocate migrants coming to Europe.
The Czech Republic should accept 1,328 immigrants, while Slovakia should receive 785.
"We're now in a situation where migration has become a business with human smuggling," said Sandor, adding that by setting the quotas, the EU is actually telling traffickers that it's paved the way for them. The best solution would be to persuade these people to remain at home, but at the moment it seems to be unrealistic, added the security consultant.
Slovakia and the Czech Republic can protest the quotas being imposed on them, but big EU countries will force them to accept the immigrants in the end anyway, the consultant believes.
"We aren't responsible for everything bad that's happened in Northern Africa, Sahel and the Middle East. Our solidarity should have certain limits; it must be reasonable," stressed Sandor. Endit
