Around 85 IOC members coming to Beijing, Almaty's presentations for 2022 Winter Games bids

Around 85 members of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will be present here this coming week when the two candidate cities for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games make crucial presentations.

"There're around 85 members are expected to attend the presentations," confirmed Mark Adams, the IOC director of communications.

It means 16 out of the 101 strong memberships, who hold the rights to vote in the election during the 128th IOC Session in Kuala Lumpur on July 31, will be absent.

Beijing and Almaty are given the chance to show detailed bidding projects in front of the IOC memebers at the Olympic Museum on Tuesday, before each city welcoming them again seperately in Palace Hotel on Wednesday by displaying models, bid videos and answering questions. Endi
