Power outage disrupts shooting competition in SEA Games

A shooting competition in the 28th Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) was disrupted by power outage for about 15 minutes on Saturday.

Lights at SAFRA Yishun went out and the air-conditioner stopped working at about 11 a.m., as the men's 10m air rifle qualification event was taking place.

Electricity was restored about 15 minutes later. Officials are still investigating the cause of the incident.

Thailand won the gold medal while Malaysia took silver. Vietnam beat the hosts getting the bronze medal. While the Singapore team, comprising Royce Chan, Wesley Leong and Wong Ting Wei, finished fourth in the five-team competition. Endi
