Indian PM begins Bangladesh visit

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Dhaka on Saturday for a two-day visit to Bangladesh.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted her counterpart at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport with a 19-gun salute.

During Modi's stay, the two primers were expected to discuss entire gamut of bilateral relations.

Ahead of the talks between the two premiers, according to sources, Hasina and Modi will have a tete-a-tete for 25 minutes.

A number of deals, including one on the much-awaited land boundary, were likely to be signed during the visit.

Diplomatic sources said Bangladesh also expected some 2 billion U.S. dollars in fresh loan from India on a number of infrastructure projects which both sides already finalized. Endi
