Tokyo stocks fall slightly on overseas markets losses

Tokyo stocks fell 0.13 percent Friday on depressed European and U.S. equity markets.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average ended down 27.29 points, from Thursday at 20,460.90. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange shed 6.83 points, or 0. 41 percent, lower at 1,667.06.

Decliners were led by the insurance, other finance and bank sectors.

The turnover was 2,454.41 billion yen (about 19.72 billion U.S. dollars). Endi
