Chinese Vice President Li Yuanchao met with a delegation from Ecuador's PAIS Alliance movement on Friday at the Great Hall of the People in downtown Beijing.

The delegation was headed by Carlos Marx Carrasco, president of the PAIS Alliance Ethical Commission.

Hailing the smooth development of China-Ecuador ties over the past 35 years since diplomatic relations were established, Li said the Communist Party of China stands ready to increase exchanges with the PAIS Alliance movement on governance to boost the bilateral relationship in a sustained way.

Carrasco said Ecuador looks forward to closer practical cooperation and exchanges between the two countries and parties to benefit the people of both countries. Endi
