Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo sign agreement on GPS cooperation

representatives from Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo signed on Thursday an agreement on cooperation on global positioning systems (GPS).

Albanian Minister of Justice Nasip Naco said that the agreement is important to build the necessary infrastructure of natural resources registry in the region in line with EU standards.

"We are part of the Western Balkans and aspire to join the big European family as soon as possible we have engaged in many regional activities of political, economic and scientific nature with a view to build the necessary infrastructure in the light of European integration-related priorities," Naco said.

According to him, the Immovable Properties Registration Agencies of Montenegro, Kosovo and Albania have a key role to play and important duties to fulfil not only in immovable properties registration, management of this information or verification of their accuracy but also in design of accurate cadastral mapping system determining clearly the boundaries of immovable properties in compliance with European standards.
