Iceland sees trade surplus decrease in May

Iceland saw its balance of trade decrease to a surplus of 230 million Icelandic krona (1.76 million U.S. dollars) in May, down from a surplus of 7.3 billion Icelandic krona in April, Statistics Iceland said Thursday.

Preliminary figures show the value of exported goods amounted to 54.33 billion krona, while the value of imported goods amounted to 54.1 billion krona in May.

Compared with April, the value of exported goods in May decreased 2.47 billion krona, while the value of imported goods increased 4.6 billion krona. Endit
