Singapore stocks close 0.14 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 4. 84 points, or 0.14 percent, to close at 3,345.00.

A total of 1.66 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 56 billion Singapore dollars (1.16 billion U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 298 to 140, while 522 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 9.09 points, or 0.27 percent, to close at 3,349.84 on Wednesday. Endi
