Real Sociedad coach David Moyes will be going nowhere this summer despite rumors linking him with a return to the Premier League.
Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay commented on the Real Sociedad website that after leading the club out of the relegation zone in Spain's Liga BBVA to a comfortable 12th place finish, Moyes would stay in San Sebastian for at least another year.
Former Everton and Manchester United boss, Moyes has been rumored to be interesting Sunderland and West Ham United and had also been linked with Newcastle, but according to Aperribay, the 52-year-old has not discussed leaving before his contract expires at the end of June 2016.
"Moyes has never spoken to us about this. If anything, we have heard these rumors from the media. He has never suggested the possibility to go back to England," said the Real Sociedad president.
Aperribay added that the club had made a big effort to sign the Scot, who rather than looking at a return to England, was planning for the new campaign in Spain.
"We made an important structural decision by bringing in David Moyes last year. He has been planning for next season since the month of January," he insisted.
One player who probably won't form part of those plans is Burnley striker Danny Ings, who scored 11 goals last season. Although Aperrebay admitted the club had "monitored him since the winter transfer market... He has a lot of offers from England," and it looks "highly unlikely" he will move to Spain. Endi
