Vanuatu's foreign minister fired

Xinhua, June 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Vanuatu's Prime Minister Joe Natuman has terminated the ministerial service of Foreign Minister Sato Kilman, local media reported Thursday.

"It was said that Kilman had indicated he did not wish to remain a minister of the present government," said local news website the Vanuatu Daily Digest.

Kilman was sacked by Natuman after the former indicated that he was prepared to support a motion of no confidence in the latter, said a government spokesperson.

Meanwhile, Isaac Amariliu, a member of parliament from Kilman's People's Progress Party, was also sacked as government whip. Endi
