Ronaldo calls on Brazil soccer chief to quit

Xinhua, June 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

Brazil great Ronaldo has called for the resignation of the country's football confederation (CBF) chief Marco Polo Del Nero.

The comments came a day after Sepp Blatter announced he would step down as president of world football's governing body FIFA amid a widening corruption scandal.

Del Nero took over as CBF president in April when he replaced Jose Maria Marin, who was one of seven top football officials arrested on graft charges in a dawn raid by Swiss police last week.

Del Nero has denied allegations linking him to corruption. Endi
