Dollar trades in lower 124 yen line in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded in the lower 124 yen range early Thursday in Tokyo deals, slightly higher from its overnight levels in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 124.31-32 yen compared with 124.19-29 yen in New York and 124.15-17 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The euro fetched 1.1260-1264 dollars and 139.98-99 yen against 1.1270-1280 dollars and 139.97-140.07 yen in New York and 1.1139- 1141 dollars and 138.29-33 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon. Endi
