Tokyo shares end lower by break on rise of yen

Tokyo shares ended the morning session lower on Wednesday on the rise of the exchange rate of the Japanese yen against the U.S. dollar, as well as on losses in the overnight U.S. and European markets.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 88.28 points, or 0.43 percent, from Tuesday to 20,454.91.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 5.18 points, or 0.31 percent, at 1, 669.03. Endi
