Slovak public positive on creating new brand

Xinhua, June 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

As many as 83 percent of Slovak respondents agree that it's vital to invest in creating a brand thanks to which Slovakia will be more distinctive among global competitors, said a survey on Tuesday.

The survey was carried out by FOCUS agency on behalf of the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

"I was pleased to see that most people agree with our vision of presenting Slovakia in the world as a modern and diverse country populated by clever and inventive people," said Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak.

In addition, the survey focused predominantly on the features that best describe Slovakia and its people.

Around 84 percent of the respondents said that skilfulness is such a characteristic. Three quarters of the respondents chose adaptability, while 68 percent thought of diversity. Many people also consider folklore traditions to be a distinctive feature of Slovakia.

Among other characteristics labelled as apt by the respondents were hospitality and good-heartedness (23 percent) and diligence (12 percent).

The survey was carried out between January-February, canvassing the views of a total of 1,010 respondents. Endit
