Xinhua, June 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

A number of 30 Albanian servicemen, part of the Second Peacekeeping Contingent, Tuesday departed to serve in Kabul, Afghanistan, in the framework of the "Resolute Support Missions".

At the ceremony held at Tirana "Mother Teresa" airport, addressing servicemen of this contingent, Albanian Defence Minister Mimi Kodheli underlined the importance of multi-year contribution of Albanian Armed Forces to NATO allies and partners.

She stressed that "Resolute Support Missions" helps building security capacities in Afghanistan, assisting local staff with more expertise and professionalism, according to Albanian Telegraphic Agency.

"I would like to assure you that Albanian government is determined to support you on the path of continuous improvement of human and technical capacities, modernization of equipment, and the creation of better infrastructure conditions," said Kodheli.

"Much remains to be done, but it is important to emphasize that you have what it is needed to accomplish the mission assigned," added Kodheli. Endit
