4 killed in car bomb attack in Iraq's Baghdad

At least four people were killed and ten others wounded in a car bomb explosion in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Tuesday, a police source said.

The attack occured in the afternoon when a booby-trapped car detonated near the Qadouri Restuarant in Palestine thoroughfare, the source told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

Iraq has been witnessing some of the worst violence in years. Terrorism and violence have killed at least 12,282 civilians and 23,126 others injured in 2014, making it the deadliest year since the sectarian violence in the 2006-2007 period, according to a recent UN report. Endit
