Roundup: HK stocks close 0.47 pct lower

Hong Kong stocks ended lower on Tuesday with the benchmark Hang Seng index falling 0.47 percent to end at 27,466.72 points. Turnover totaled 146.49 billion HK dollars (about 18.88 billion U.S. dollars).
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index fell 97.82 points, or 0. 68 percent, to close at 14,201.63.
Four sub-indices all lost ground, with the Finance sub-index falling the most by 0.80 percent, followed by the Utility 0.56 percent, the Properties 0.23 percent and the Commerce and Industry 0.10 percent.
Banking giant HSBC, which accounts for the largest weighting of the Hang Seng Index, fell 0.4 percent at 73.55 HK dollars, while its local unit Hang Seng Bank closed down 0.5 percent to 154.90 HK dollars. Local bourse operator HKEX lost 1.7 percent at 296.80 HK dollars.
Local developers Hang Lung Properties closed down 0.2 percent to 24.55 HK dollars. Henderson Land, another major developer in Hong Kong, closed flat at 62.85 HK dollars, and Cheung Kong Holding, a powerful HK-based developer controlled by billionaire Li Ka-shing, increased 0.2 percent to 122.90 HK dollars.
As for mainland-based financial stocks, China Construction Bank, the country's second largest bank which accounts for the third largest weighting of the Hang Seng Index, went down 0.5 percent to 7.78 HK dollars. ICBC, the world's largest bank by market value, was down 0.6 percent to 6.78 HK dollars. Bank of China added 0.2 percent to close at 5.22 HK dollars.
PetroChina, the country's largest oil and gas producer, lost 0. 2 percent to 9.15 HK dollars. (1 U.S. dollar equals 7.761 HK dollars) Endi
