Top Chinese political advisor meets Senegalese guests

Top Chinese political advisor Yu Zhengsheng met with a delegation of the Senegalese Economic, Social and Environmental Council headed by its president Aminata Tall on Tuesday morning.

Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), said China and Senegal have become important partners.

He said the two countries have deepened trust, increased friendly exchanges, expanded fruitful cooperation and closely coordinated with each other on regional and international affairs.

China places great stock in developing its relations with Senegal and will continue to support the country's efforts to develop infrastructure, promote economic growth and improve livelihoods, according to Yu.

The political advisor said the CPPCC is ready to strengthen its ties with the Senegalese parliament and society. He expressed readiness to step up exchanges with the Senegalese Economic, Social and Environmental Council.

Tall expressed appreciation for Chinese measures to expand cooperation with African countries. She said Senegal was ready to cooperate more with China in trade and investment. Endi
