India's central bank or the Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday cut the policy repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility by 25 basis points from 7.5 percent to 7.25 percent.

It also kept the cash reserve ratio unchanged at 4.0 percent, while the reverse repo rate was adjusted to 6.25 percent.

The measure came amid easing inflation and a 7.3 percent growth rate of the GDP in the last quarter. Endi
