Dollar changes hands at upper 124 yen level in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar changed hands at the upper 124 yen level early Tuesday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 124.86-88 yen compared with 124.75-85 yen in New York and 124.16-17 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday.

The euro fetched 1.0922-0923 dollars and 136.39-40 yen against 1.0920-0930 dollars and 136.30-40 yen in New York and 1.0906-0908 dollars and 135.41-45 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon. Endi
