Spanish stock market rises 0.18 pct, closes at 11,238 points

Spain's benchmark stock market index, Ibex-35, rose 0.18 percent on Monday to close at 11,238.10 points, up from the 11,217.60 points of Friday.

Inditex shares led rises during Monday's session, climbing 2.14 percent followed by Banco Popular, Mediaset, IAG and BME which rose 1.71 percent, 1.66 percent, 1.43 percent and 1.0 percent respectively.

On the other hand, FCC shares led falls losing 3.17 percent, followed by Gamesa, OHL, DIA and Mapfre which lost 1.75 percent, 1.29 percent, 1.12 percent, and 0.99 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium rose from 136 points early in the morning to 140 points by the end of the session and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate stood at 1.95 percent, showing no major variations between Friday's closing time and Monday morning. Endit
