Xinhua, June 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

Georgia plans to construct 91 new hydro power plants in the coming years, the country's energy ministry announced on Monday.

Among the 91 power plants, the Khaishi Hydro Power Plant, the Tobari Hydro Power Plant and the Pari Hydro Power Plant, as well as the one on the Tskhenistskali River will be the largest.

Earlier, Georgia's Deputy Energy Minister Mariam Valishvili told Xinhua that a project is currently underway to build an energy bridge linking Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey.

Under this project, Georgia will be able to become a transit country for energy supplies from Azerbaijan to Turkey and to Europe, and export its excessive electricity in the period from April to August. Endi
