Indonesia's foreign tourist arrival up 3.24 pct in April

The number of foreign holidaymakers coming to Indonesia in April scaled up by 3.13 percent to 749,900 people on yearly basis, the national statistic bureau announced here on Monday.

In Bali, the center of Indonesia's tourism industry, the number of foreign tourist visiting the beautiful resort island rose by 11. 5 percent to 309,900 on year, Suryamin, head of the bureau told a press conference at the bureau headquarters.

Indonesia aims to revive the country's tourism industry by extending free visa facilities to 45 countries.

Under the facility, the government targets to rise foreign tourist arrival to 20 millions people within 5 years, from 9.44 million in 2014, according to Arif Yahya, Indonesian tourism minister.

Indonesia expects 10 million foreign tourist arrivals this year. Endi
