Xinhua, June 1, 2015 Adjust font size:

At least 10 people were killed and several others injured in two separate incidents of bomb explosions in northwestern Pakistan on Monday morning, local media reported.

According to Samaa TV, three people were killed when a car carrying them was hit by a roadside bomb in the country's northwestern tribal area of South Waziristan.

A local political agent was traveling in the vehicle with his two sons when it came under attack in Wana area of South Waziristan, one of the seven semi-autonomous tribal areas along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the blast and sought a report from the concerned officials.

In a separate bomb explosion, seven people were killed and several others injured in Tank area of the country's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The incident happened when some unknown assailants hurled a hand grenade at an election rally.

Police said supporters of an independent candidate were celebrating his victory in recently held local government elections when the attack happened.

The injured people were shifted to a nearby hospital.

No group has claimed responsibility for either of the attacks yet. Endi
