Int'l Children's Day: Mozambique fights child marriage

Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi vowed Sunday to fight child marriage in his country on the occasion of International Children's Day.

"At no moment should child marriage be an alternative for families to develop themselves," said the president in a message for International Children's Day, which falls on Monday.

The government hopes to raise awareness of the problem of child marriage with the theme of this year's International Children's Day celebrations: "Marriage Only After 18 Years Old." Endi
