Supreme Procuratorate to publicize cases of interference in justice
Xinhua, May 31, 2015 Adjust font size:
China's Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) on Sunday said it will regularly publicize cases of officials who interfere with judicial processes.
The move is in accordance with two policies made by the SPP to prevent officials from interfering in or inquiring about judicial cases.
The two policies urge procuratorates at all levels to investigate suspected cases of interference and inquiries into judicial cases.
If the violations are relatively minor, officials will be warned by procuratorates. If interference constitutes a violation of discipline or a crime, officials will be punished through disciplinary measures or criminal sanctions.
The SPP urged the procuratorate system to improve its working mechanism to implement the policies and address public concerns, with attention to publicity and guiding public opinion. Endi
