Egypt road accident kills 16 people

A serious road accident happened on Friday night in Egypt and killed 16 people, including 13 policemen, state-run MENA news agency reported on Saturday.

This accident happened on a road in Beni Suef province, about 100 kilometers south of capital Cairo, when a police vehicle crashed into a truck, sending both of them into a roadside canal.

Due to poor road maintenance and lack of enforcement of traffic regulations, traffic accidents are commonplace in Egypt. Endit
