Xinhua, May 30, 2015 Adjust font size:

A firefighter was killed Friday night in a rescue mission in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, local authorities said on Saturday.

The firefighting team rushed into a blazing residential building in Yulin city and saved three people who were trapped, the fire department said.

However, Yang Kezhang, political instructor of the fire squadron, fell from the building while removing a two-year-old girl from the building.

The girl is being treated in the hospital.

Another firefighter was injured. Endit
