FIFA President candidate Prince Ali of Jordan said here on Friday in his presentation that it is a great honor to run for the chief of world football governing body.

"It is an incredible honour to stand as a candidate. Everything is at stake for the game, for the world.

"We are guardians of the game, a game that is cherished by the world. A game that can unite and heal. About men and women who give their all and who inspire the youth."H The 39-year-old is the only rival to compete against Sepp Blatter and the election will be under way after each candidate has made a 15-minute address in front of the 209 FIFA members.

"We want transparency, inclusiveness and accountability. Everyone pulling in the same direction for the good of FIFA and football.

"Today is about taken the first step to change. We must show the world the FIFA family is committed to the game.

"We stand here today at a crossroads for football and a strong leader is needed to fix the mess we are in. I will stand as that."
