1st LD: Roadside bomb wounds 5 in east Afghan city

Xinhua, May 29, 2015 Adjust font size:

Five people were injured as a roadside bomb blast rocked Afghanistan's eastern city of Ghazni on Friday, police said.

"An explosive device was planted by terrorists inside a bag and put it alongside a road. When a police van was passing the area, the terrorists detonated it by remote control," deputy to provincial police chief Assadullah Insafi told Xinhua.

As a result five people, including a police, a woman and three children, were injured and two of them in critical condition.

The official blamed the enemies of peace, a reference to the Taliban militants, for the attack. However, the outfit fighting the government has yet to claim responsibility. Endi
