The defending champions of V-League 1, Vietnam's top professional football league, has signed a contract with a Croatian 1.87-meter striker, the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company announced Friday.

Defending champions Becamex Binh Duong signed the contract with the 27-year-old Croatian Simic Marko. He was a member of Croatia's U-21 team in 2009.

Before coming to Vietnam, Marko played for several European clubs, including Pordenone Calcio (Italy), and FC Khimki (Russia). Endi
