Hannover extend contract with Michael Frontzeck

Xinhua, May 29, 2015 Adjust font size:

Michael Frontzeck remains Hannover' s head coach as the club agrees on a two-year contract extension, the Bundesliga side confirmed on Thursday.

After securing the top-flight status for next season, Hannover rewarded coach Frontzeck with a contract extension until June 2017.

"Michael Frontzeck has done a good job. Therefore we want to continue the cooperation with him. He motivates the team and embodies enthusiasm," Hannover's clubs president Martin Kind said.

The 51-year-old coach took the reins after replacing Tayfun Korkut at struggling Hannover in April 2015. Frontzeck guided relegation-threatened Hannover from the 15th to the 13th place of the Bundesliga standings.

Besides the contract extension of coach Frontzeck, Hannover announced that Dirk Dufner fulfills his contract until June 2016. Endite
