Eurozone Business Climate Indicator decreases slightly in May

Xinhua, May 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

The eurozone's business climate indicator (BCI) decreased slightly in May, a European Commission survey showed Thursday.

It decreased slightly by 0.05 points to 0.28 in May on monthly basis.

Managers' production expectations improved, while their assessment of overall order books and export order books remained broadly unchanged, according to the survey.

By contrast, their assessment of past production trends and stocks of finished products worsened.

The BCI is based on a factor analysis of the euro area aggregate balances of five of the monthly questions in the industry survey. Endit
