LME base metals close mixed on Wednesday

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed mixed on Wednesday.
Norwegian metals producer Norsk Hydro said on Wednesday that it has decided to go ahead with a previously planned increase of aluminium output at its Sunndal plant by 35,000 tonnes per year, starting in the middle of 2015.
Investors expressed concerns that it might bring excess supply of aluminum. The three-month unofficial aluminium price lost 2.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.14 percent, to 1,751.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.
Besides, the three-month unofficial copper price dropped 4.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.07 percent, to 6,122.5 U.S. dollars per tonne.
The three-month unofficial lead price increased 10 U.S. dollars, or 0.52 percent, to 1,951 U.S. dollars a tonne.
The three-month unofficial zinc price increased 16 U.S. dollars, or 0.73 percent, to 2,197 U.S. dollars a tonne.
The three-month unofficial nickel price increased 100 U.S. dollars, or 0.78 percent, to 12,862.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.
The three-month unofficial tin price lost 187.5 U.S. dollars, or 1.21 percent, to 15,350 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
