French stock market index up 1.95 pct on Wednesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with an advance of 1.95 percent at 5,182.53 points on Wednesday, up 98.99 points.

With Greece on its way to reach an agreement with its creditors, the CAC 40 closed higher on Wednesday with 39 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance, while Kering stayed the same as previous trading day.

The three companies that gained most on Wednesday were Alcatel-Lucent, up 4.93 percent, Peugeot, up 4.82 percent, and Sanofi, up 3.19 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a decrease of 0.66 percent at 5,083.54 points, down 33.63 points. Endit
