(Sports) Lin Dan exits 2015 Australian Badminton Open

In the tournament's first major upset, Viktor Axelsen from Danmark has defeated China's Lin Dan in three games at the 2015 Australian Badminton Open in Sydney on Wednesday night.

Second seed Lin opened the match with a win in the first game, however Axelsen fought back to put in a dominating performance in the second.

Lin regained composure in the third to take an early lead, however Axelsen put in a string of eight consecutive points to take the lead and win the match in one hour and 13 minutes.

Final score: 19-21, 21-12, 21-15. Endi
