Hosts China beat Kazakhstan 3-0 in the women's volleyball Asian Championship here on Tuesday and will meet defending champions Thailand in semifinals.

China was 8-4 up before the first technical time-out. Kazakhstan then scored two points but China captain Hui Ruoqi who came back from injury led a 5-0 streak to help China establish a 15-6 advantage and won the first set with 25-13.

Started with 0-4 in the second set, China scored five straight points twice to retake the lead 10-5. Hui Ruoqi's spikes and Zhu Ting's blocks led China to a 25-11 win.

In the third set, Zhang Changning joined Hui Ruoqi in the attack formation to gift China another 25-11.

As Thailand smashed Japan 3-0, China now have the chance to revenge as Thailand upset them 3-2 in the semifinal of Asian championship 2013.

"We've been watching the videos of Thailand's matches during our regular training. Tomorrow we need to be more focused and be prepared for their fast-pace style," said Hui Ruoqi.

"To be honest we didn't have much pressure in these days' matches, so tomorrow we shall adjust our mental state quick enough to face the real strong opponent," said China head coach Jenny Lang Ping. Endi
