Belarusian President's visit to Pakistan delayed over mother's demise

The state visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Pakistan has been postponed for two days due to the sad demise of his mother, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

President Lukashenko was scheduled to pay a two-day on May 26- 27 at the invitation of the President of Pakistan.

The Belarusian President will now visit Pakistan on 28-29 May. The program of the visit will remain unchanged, a Foreign Ministry statement said.

This will be the first ever visit by a Belarusian President to Pakistan.

The President of Belarus will be leading a high powered Delegation. A strong Business Delegation will precede the Presidential entourage for the first Pakistan Belarus Business and Investment Forum.

He will have official talks with the Prime Minister. A number of important Agreements/MOUs are expected to be signed, a statement said.
