China defense ministry to open microblog, WeChat accounts

The Ministry of National Defense will launch official microblog and instant messaging accounts on Tuesday, according to a statement released Monday on its website.
The microblog account at Weibo.com will offer live updates on a press conference scheduled for Tuesday morning on a white paper titled "China's Military Strategy," said the statement, citing the ministry's press bureau.
The ministry's WeChat account will go into operation in the meantime. Endi
