3 workers killed in cement factory blast in Ankara

At least three workers were killed and two others seriously injured in an explosion at a cement factory in Ankara province of central Turkey on Sunday, private Dogan news agency reported.

The report said the explosion occurred at the cement factory in Kazan town of Ankara province, causing fire in the factory.

Following the explosion, a large number of ambulances and the fire brigade were dispatched to the factory, the report added.

The injured have been taken to hospital for treatment, said the report, adding an investigation into the blast was underway. Endit
