Morocco hosts 5th World Judo Masters

The 5th edition of the World Judo Masters started here on Saturday.

The World Judo Masters Championship, which takes place for the first time in an African nation, brings together the top 16 judoka on the World Ranking List in each weight category.

A total of 238 Judokas from 60 countries and regions are taking part in the two-day tournament for qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

The World Judo Masters offers more points than any other competition after the World Championships and the Olympic Games.

Morocco has staged numerous Judo competitions, on the top of which the Junior World Championships in Agadir in 2010, in addition to continental events which have attracted a great number of international judokas. Endi
