At least 39 people were killed Friday in central Mexico's state of Michoacan following a clash between a group of armed people and Federal Police, authorities said.

LOS ANGELES -- Two men were charged in the U.S. state of California Friday with conspiring to provide material support to the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group.
Muhanad Badawi and Nader Elhuzayel, both 24, were arrested late Thursday by special agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Elhuzayel was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport and Badawi at an apartment in Anaheim, according to local media reports. (U.S.-IS-Charge)

LIMA -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang arrived here Friday for an official visit to Peru, a South American country which has a free trade pact with China and wishes to diversify its economic cooperation with China.
During his visit to Peru, Li will hold talks with Peruvian President Ollanta Humala and attend a joint press conference. He will also join a discussion with representatives from Chinese enterprises in Peru to learn about their experience in doing business here. (China-Peru)

VIENNA -- An elderly couple murdered here on Thursday was part of what may have been a robbery, police said on Friday according to a Kronen Zeitung newspaper report.
The 54-year-old son of the couple, found his parent's bodies lying dead in the backyard of their home when he came to visit them in the evening and called the police at about 22:30 p.m. local time (2030 GMT). The couple were 74 and 75 years old. (Austria-Murder) Endi
