Belarusian President to visit Pakistan on May 26-27

Xinhua, May 22, 2015 Adjust font size:

Belarus's President Alexander Lukashenko will visit Islamabad on May 26-27 at the invitation of the President of Pakistan, officials said on Friday.

This will be the first ever visit by a Belarusian President to Pakistan.

The President of Belarus will be leading a high powered delegation. A strong Business Delegation will precede the Presidential entourage for the first Pakistan-Belarus Business and Investment Forum to be held on May 25, the Foreign Ministry said.

He will have official talks with the prime minister, and a number of important Agreements/MOUs are expected to be signed, a statement said.

Belarus established its resident Mission in Islamabad in November 2014.

"Pakistan and Belarus enjoy cordial relations. President Lukashenko's visit will help in strengthening the exiting ties between the two countries," the Foreign Ministry said. Endi
