Hungary to support Albanian agricultural development

Albanian and Hungarian officials on Thursday announced stepped-up cooperation with concrete steps towards the Hungarian assistance in the field of European integration process of Albania in the field of agriculture.

The announcement was made after a meeting between Albanian Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water Management Edmond Panariti and Hungary's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Commerce Laszlo Szabo.

Panariti and Szabo discussed the growth in volume of agricultural commodities exchange, mainly dairy, fruits, vegetables.

They agreed on the approximation of legislation in the field of veterinary and food safety, cooperation between the payment agencies of the two countries to support farmers, fiscal agreement, the financing of joint projects by Hungarian Bank as well as cooperation in the field of administration water.
