The Philippine government assured Thursday that concerned state agencies have been preparing for a strong earthquake that may rock the country.

Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. made the remarks after the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) came out with a Valley Fault System (VFS) Atlas, a handbook of large scale maps showing in detail areas traversed by the VFS. SINGAPORE -- 13 Chinese nationals and one Malaysian on the capsized Bolivian-registered sand carrier remain unaccounted for, said Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) in a news release on Thursday.

PHNOM PENH -- Cambodia's Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court on Thursday convicted 50-years-old French national Philippe Broaly to 14 months in prison, but suspended five-month prison term, on the charge of indecent assaults against five boys, according to a verdict read by Judge Plong Visal.

The verdict also ordered him to pay 5,500 U.S. dollars compensation to the three civil plaintiffs and 1,500 U.S. dollars fine. (Cambodia-French-Sentence)
